Family court bench warrants (TRO violations, Abuse of Household Member) are in their own speciality: the family court.

• Bail Amounts: First offense $1,000; subsequent misdemeanors capped at $2,000.

• Profit Reality: Only felony-level abuse cases, $10,000 and higher, qualify for bail, often at a 15% fee.

• Even the most desperate of bail agents have minimum thresholds above $3,000 and insist upon charging 15% fees plus additional “consent to rate” filing fees starting at $250 extra.

👉 Truth: Many agents will decline these bonds citing being “off-island” or having minimum thresholds above $3,000 for bail bonds.
